Just a Spoonful was an idea thought up whilst talking to one of my employers when working as a nanny. We would regularly discuss the children and the best way to promote their development and manage their behaviour. She commented on how beneficial it is to have someone to talk to who is experienced in this field who can offer ideas and reassurance.
Just a Spoonful offers a service within the home that both parents and children can be involved in. We set out to offer practical solutions to families who require support at key developmental and behavioural milestones, such as potty training, tantrums and table manners. As a childcare professional I firmly believe that such issues cannot be resolved unless the whole family is involved and willing to work towards a solution.
Often there are several methods that can work towards the same result. Different families will find different methods work for them. Someone who can talk through the options with the family in order to find what can work for them within their family is the benefit of using Just a Spoonful.
Just a Spoonful also produces a quarterly newsletter. It contains useful information related to the time of the year and recipes, hints and tips for parents.
